Is the HBCU Couture website secure?

Yes. Any personal information shared with HBCU Couture will be protected. We will not disclose your information to any third parties. Our server will secure your personal information with up-to-date firewall and encryption techniques. All payments are processed securely, through PayPal. We will not store your credit card information at any time.

What forms of payment do you accept?

HBCU Couture payments are processed securely through PayPal. We do not accept
personal checks, company checks, cashier’s checks, money orders, or CODs. Please be sure to provide complete and correct billing information for your payment, as incorrect information can cause a delay in the processing and shipping of your order.

Was I charged twice?

• Your credit card will only be charged once.

• If you just placed your order, the charge on your account is actually an “authorization.” This is a common banking institution practice for handling credit card transactions, ensuring sufficient funds and account authenticity. This authorization will clear (depending on your bank, usually within 48 – 72 hours). If you need assistance expediting the process, you should contact the issuing bank of your credit card.

What sales tax do you charge?

HBCU Couture does not charge sales tax.

What are the costs for shipping and handling?

Standard Shipping & Handling fees are $5.95 (items will be delivered within 7-10 business days from the date the order was placed). The Standard Shipping & Handling fees are waived during free shipping and/or other promotions.

Merchandise availability?

Although HBCU Couture makes every effort to keep sufficient stock of items listed on our website, occasionally we do sell out of certain items and sizes. If an item you have ordered is out of stock, you will be notified via e-mail. Any changes will be reflected in your order total as well as your shipping confirmation.

How can I check the status of my order?

You will receive an order confirmation via e-mail once your order has been successfully transmitted. You can always check the status of your order by signing into your account and selecting the option order status/history. This screen will let you know if your order has been fulfilled, shipped, or if it is being held. If you are unable to check the status of your order through the website, please email us at info@hbcucouture.com, referencing your original order number, and we will update you on your the status.

Returns/Exchanges?

- Merchandise can be exchanged or returned for store credit within 14 days.
- Merchandise must not be worn, altered, or washed.
- The following items are NOT refundable/exchangeable:

Please note:
- HBCU Couture may refund at our discretion. All items returned or exchanged must be in sellable condition (i.e., without evidence of wear, odor, or staining).
- Original shipping and handling fees are NOT refundable.
- To return or exchange merchandise, contact us at info@hbcucouture.com, referencing your original order number and the item that you wish to return/exchange. We will then provide you with instructions on how to complete the return/exchange.
